SchoolChild Africa receives funds from various (sport) activities. Besides marathons, cycle tours and Christmas fairs organized by our sponsors, several schools have organized Africa theme weeks to raise funds for our projects in Africa. All activities are reported in our newsletters. If you have a special, unique or sportive fundraising idea, please contact us.

SchoolChild enjoys working with primary and secondary schools to raise money for the projects in Kenya. The Uilenburcht in Driebergen, the Merwedonk in Gorinchem, C.B.S. Het Kompas in Lexmond, Paulusschool in Hilversum and Zernike Montessori College in Groningen. These school-for-school events resulted in a very positive cooperation. After SchoolChild’s presentation of Africa and the foundation’s projects, the children carried out different activities (sponsor run, cooking and selling traditional African food) and tasks (cleaning cars, collecting bottles for recycling) to raise money. SchoolChild has used these funds for several goals such as school supplies, materials for the orphanage and a lunch program for both the school and orphanage in Kisumu. Because of the great results of these school-for-school events, we hope to continue with these events in the future.
